Questions readers ask
Do I need an account to read the guides?
No. Every guide is free to read, signed in or not, and always will be. An account is for joining in: notes, results, comments and votes.
Does the membership renew automatically?
No. You pay once for a year. We email you before it ends, and you decide whether to add another year. Nothing is charged without you clicking the button.
What happens when my year ends?
Your account goes back to the free tier and the ads come back. Your notes, results, comments and profile stay exactly as they were.
Can I buy another year early?
Yes. A payment made while a membership is running adds a year to the end of it, so you never lose time.
How is the payment handled?
Through Stripe, on their checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe emails you a receipt, and every payment is listed on your membership page.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, where it makes sense. Use the contact form and we’ll look at it case by case: a full or prorated refund, depending on the situation.
